Puppy Rail, LLC was formed in November, 2010 in Kansas City, Missouri by Technical Director and Cinematographer Richard Welnowski with Industrial Designer Clint Wynn.
PuppyRail™ site is devoted to filmmakers and photographers interested to expand their visual creativity and production values beyond normal use of tripod camera mount.
With more than 20 years experience in motion control system for film, we understand today’s new video cameras and HDSLR’s needs. High quality video cameras, SLRs created new needs for advanced motion control systems, lighter, more portable, multi functional at an affordable cost.
We named our line of products PuppyRail™ for several reasons:
The design and functionality is totally different than traditional dolly or tracks for film making.
The PuppyRail™ system is portable, extremely lightweight which allows for an easy and quick setup on virtually any terrain. The design is high precision, all at low cost.
Each PuppyRail™ system can be used as a slide or dolly move for filming in manual way or motion control. Selected models are motorized and multifunctional. They can be used for precision linear motion and as time lapse or stop motion cinematography with programable controller. Camera exposure will trigger automatically when step in motion is executed.
